Chazy Westport Communications Launches “White Lightning” Ultra High Speed Internet Service.

Westport, NY – August 14, 2007

Chazy Westport Communications announced today the roll out of its ultra-high speed internet service capable of speeds up to 22MB/s*.  The service will be offered initially to selected areas of Chazy, West Chazy and Westport and ramped up throughout the company’s territory as customers sign-up for the service.

 According to company officials, Chazy Westport Communications recently partnered with Alcatel-Lucent to upgrade its fiber infrastructure to a OC-192 fiber ring capable of delivering Voice, Video, and Data services at speeds over 10 Giga Bits per second.  Fiber optic technology is known for it’s crystal clear voice service.  

“This is the dawn of a new era in telecommunications”, stated Joe Forcier, Vice President of Chazy Westport Communications.  “Customers subscribing to White Lightning will be able to stream high resolution video and audio services as well as instantly transfer video images to family and friends around the world.”  This network upgrade has also positioned the company for their near future deployment of Video services. 

According to Krista Boule, Director of Marketing, “Customers who sign up for White Lightning will receive the new ultra high speed service at the same rates as their existing DSL services -  this is an amazing deal.”  She also stated that the First 100 customers to sign up for White Lightning and the companies popular UNLIMITED calling plan will be eligible to win a Flat Screen TV.
